To the Astoria community,
It has been an honor to serve you my lovingly made, authentic Puerto Rican food for the past two years. I love being a part of this community, and connecting with you over arroz con pollo and wine.
But over the past several months, you may have noticed that my doors are closed a little more often, and my lights are off more nights during the week than they are on. I operate by myself, and it is difficult to survive on my own when I also work full-time outside of the restaurant.
Yes Mama has become my dream, and it is a dream that I have shared with you. Thank you to those of you who see what I see, who have sampled my authentic Puerto Rican food, and who have shared a bottle with me.
I am truly sorry if you have stopped by for some of my coquito flan or empanadas de papa and seen that my doors are closed. I love connecting with people, sharing my story, and serving my food to this community. Please keep stopping by -- I promise that when I am here my doors and my heart are open.
I'll post my hours on Instagram and update when I can on Google. Thank you all for all.
Love,
Mama Jessica
NEW!
We're in the process of getting our liquor license! Until then, come warm up with some wine, beer, and fresh-cooked Spanish food; once we get it (likely early spring), come celebrate with us!
Check out our new menu additions! Visit our menu here to see what's new this season.
Yes Mama caters! Visit our catering page here to complete the form. Let us make your next event a Yes Mama event!
Because all menu items are fresh, homemade, small-batch, made to order & bursting with flavor, some items may take 15-20 minutes to prepare.
